Fashion Design In Isolation [Outlet]5/2/2013 8:43:22 AM
fashion design in isolation Much to everyone's disappointment, as unique and impressive as Las Vegas was, it also marked the end of our study tour journey. To celebrate, the group went out for a farewell buffet dinner Las Vegas style at Caesars Palace. A nice dinner and drinks, together with laughs and memorable stories, the trip could not have ended at a better place!. The star of the day was Nagaland Atsu Shekose, who attracted a young and a stylish audience. Atsu looked homeward for inspiration; his collection of shorts, printed pants, parkas and skirts were inspired by life in the Northeast. His designs have been spotted on Bollywood actresses such as Kareena Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor.. The idea fror the collection came about because a lot of my customers asked me, "Jenny I really like your dresses, why don't you make a wedding gown for my wedding?" I said "Okay, let me try." The problem is, I don't like most wedding gowns. In China, girls wear dresses with huge, shiny skirts, and most brides end up looking the same. You can't remember who wore what; the dresses don't show the girls' personality. However, this practice is now illegal due to a recent Supreme Court ruling. The Court ruled that a dancer must be minimally covered in specific areas, by a 6-to-3 vote. The ruling is an attempt by the Supreme Court to regulate a moral issue, and to stifle crimes that are inter-related to "stripping", such as prostitution.. Relative unknown Dominican and Parson's grad, Hernan Lander, presented a beautiful collection of women's clothing. Edgy leathers and vibrant silk prints, Lander brought his unique perspective to Lincoln Center for the first time. Inspired by the earthquake in Haiti in 2010 and the death of his grandfather, Lander chose somewhat muted colors for his recent collection. I'm sure you've all seen those paintings of people (especially the French) from back hundreds of years ago. The ones who wore big puffy pink pants, kind of like what rappers in the late eighties wore (except not nylon). These pants were pretty normal for elites to wear back during the eighteenth century and before.. Fashion model and activist Christy Turlington will deliver the keynote address. In 2005, Ms. Turlington travelled with the humanitarian organization, CARE, to El Salvador. -I've been loving and doing makeup for a very long time. My friends always complimented on my makeup and would ask me to do theirs, whether it's for a night out on town, or a special occasion. I decided last year, when my father got terminally ill that life is too short, do what you love! So, I did! I was fortunate enough to be able to do that with full support of my husband Sasha, who on those days had to work twice as much.
